Industrial Outreach
The goal of REMRSEC industrial outreach program is to foster faster renewable energy technology transfer of basic research findings into commercial devices, to increase workforce training in specialties related to the photovoltaic (PV), fuel cell, and separations industries, to provide easy access for companies to potential technically trained employees, to provide practical industrial input into the directions of the basic research and engineering efforts of the REMRSEC, to train industrial personnel in technical areas related to renewable energy materials and devices, and to facilitate information technology transfer between industry and the Center.

Center for Revolutionary Solar Photoconversion (CRSP)
The Center for Revolutionary Solar Photoconversion (CRSP) is a university, NREL, industrial consortium organized under the Colorado Renewable Energy Collaboratory. Last October the REMRSEC participated in the CRSP annual meeting where the research in both IRG’s and the seed grants was presented to the 14 companies funding CRSP. This close cooperation between the two centers is now covered by a formal memorandum of understanding. This arrangement should insure the rapid deployment of basic research results into development activities and eventually into useful products.

Individual Industrial Partners
The REMRSEC also collaborates with individual companies on the basic science and engineering underlying renewable energy technologies. Through these collaborations companies access key expertise of REMRSEC participants while Center members are able to apply basic science innovation to real world problems. Students working in the Center have opportunities to interact with potential employers.

Technology Transfer
The Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) at Colorado School of Mines works to serve the citizens of Colorado and the United States by commercializing the inventions resulting from CSM research. The REMRSEC team works closely with OTT.
